Google’s Bard AI Has Become Surprisingly Decent.

I’m pleasantly surprised by how far it’s come along.

Let’s all admit that for a technology company, Google really dropped the ball by letting OpenAI soar so far above it earlier in the year.

As a long-time fan of Google, I was actually kind of disappointed.

This was supposed to be their area of expertise, I thought to myself as I played around with the early versions of Bard.

It sucked. Sorry.

The information it would give was sloppy🤦‍♀️ and inaccurate. It lacked a comprehensive understanding of what I actually wanted it to do.

It was especially terrible in the math department — which was kind of disheartening.

Compared to OpenAI’s blockbuster appearance, as a user, I felt severely underwhelmed.

Maybe part of the problem Google was facing is that the act they were following — GPT 3.5 and 4 — was a damn difficult one.
